I want to take child and infant CPR, where can I find information about that?

Check out the classes offered on our Health and Safety Class Calendar or descriptions of the courses at Health and Safety Class Descriptions

What is the volunteer commitment?  (i.e., how many hours required)

You can be involved with Red Cross as little or as much as you want to be. For different volunteer opportunities there may be a number of hours that we request of volunteers, which you can find in the descriptions of each volunteer activity in the Youth and Young Adult Volunteers section.

Do I have to have a medical background or have an interest in a medical career to volunteer with the Red Cross?

No, we accept volunteers with a variety of backgrounds.

As a Red Cross volunteer, do I have to pay for my training?

No, all training that relates to your volunteer function will be provided to you free of charge.

Who should I contact about volunteering?

If you are between the ages of 14-24 you are considered a youth and young adult volunteer.

Mower County:  email at mowerarc@charter.net or by telephone at (507) 437-4589..

Does the Red Cross offer curriculum that I can teach in my own classroom?

I saw the Red Cross at a community event, what were you doing there?

More than likely we were providing a First Aid Station, which is a service we provide at local community events. Otherwise check out our News Page for news on events that we have been involved with. Still not satisfied? Contact us at mowerarc@charter.net or by telephone at (507) 437-4589..
