shock Treat sudden illnesses, including
poisonings and heat and cold
emergencies Perform first aid for cuts,
scrapes, bruises, burns, bleeding, and injuries
to bones, joints, and muscles, such as sprains

CPR with First Aid Review |

|
This class will re-certify you in adult
CPR and First Aid. The date of your last
certification must be within two years. This
course meets OSHA & WISHA
requirements. |

ages 8 years and younger and First Aid. The course
teaches how to:

CPR/AED
for the Professional Rescuer |
|
|
This course is for those who have a duty to
respond to an emergency as part of their job.
Professional rescuers will learn how to:
Recognize and provide care in respiratory
and cardiac emergencies Perform two-rescuer
CPR and techniques for special rescue
situations Techniques used in saving a victim
of choking Use resuscitation masks and
bag-valve-masks for ventilating victims Use
of an Automated External Defibrillator
(AED) Reduce the risk of cardiovascular
disease |

Emergency Response |
|
|
This course is designed for public
personnel, athletic trainers, emergency response
team members, and others interested in advanced
level first aid skills. Course content includes
CPR for the Professional Rescuer, treating
injuries and sudden illness, and preventing
disease and blood borne pathogen transmission.
Emergency Response is also designed to meet or
exceed United States Department of Transportation
first responder guidelines. Upon successful
completion of course requirements, students will
receive the following certificates: CPR for the
Professional Rescuer, Emergency Response, Oxygen
Administration, Automated External Defibrillation,
and Preventing Disease transmission. |

Babysitter's
Training |
|
|
This course teaches 11-15 year olds how
to handle emergencies, prevent accidents, and
understand children’s needs at different
ages. |
|
|
Work
Place and Safety Certification:
American Red Cross CPR and Standard First
Aid classes meet content and teaching standards
set by the Washington Industrial Safety &
Health Act (WISHA) and the Federal Occupational
Safety & Health Act (OSHA). Our training is
available to you and your employees
- at your
workplace
- 24 hours
daily
- seven days a
week
We send an instructor with all necessary
equipment and supplies, at the time and location
most convenient for you, and can coordinate
classes at multiple company locations, while
maintaining a single point of contact. Training is
also available at the Red Cross Chapter
Headquarters in Austin, MN.. Most
workplace classes are subject to an 8-person
